Thinking orig colors...

For the interior I am thinking orig colors, match the motor.

Blue vinyl will be replaced with  the period color and white that matches the seats. may even modify side panels once I get into it.  Ugly KY blue capet also has to go... replace with a grey premium marine carpet.  color sample below. found the vinyl at ...

Finally picked up the '65 Sea King

Made the drive to Crown Point IN to pick up the project boat. Of course, I had to plan the trip for a time when the gas prices where at a premium. With the recent change in employment status not sure how fast things will progress...with the need for the job search and other projects around the house to potentially ready for sale. Anyway, the boat needs a major washing so I can get a good perspective on the condition of the fiberglass, initial inspection looks ok including the transom, floor is solid...will go over it all and take some pics. Seats will have to be tossed, remove the cheesy air horn, pick up a marine battery and case, fuel tanks need to be emptied and fresh fuel will be needed. Tanks are plastic so no concerns of rust in them. Need to get a service manual for the engine, sounds like the motor was manufactured by Chrysler in this time frame. That is it for now, just barely getting started.
